Firm Overview
Q: With what types of client do you work?
A: We serve individuals, families and small business owners.
Q: Do you require a minimum asset level to become a client?
A: In general we require a minimum investment of $500,000 to open and maintain an account; however, we may waive this requirement at our discretion.
Investment Process
Q: What is your investment approach?
A: We use both passive and active investments solutions and base our investment approach on asset allocation within the framework of Modern Portfolio Theory. For more information, please see Services: Investment Advisory.
Q: Does your firm pick stocks and bonds?
A: No. We employ a "manager of managers" approach for the majority of our strategies. We select managers in each asset class through a disciplined evaluation process and strive to provide best-of-breed investments for our clients. We use mutual funds, ETFs and Third Party Money Managers to implement of our wealth management planning.
Q: What will happen to my existing portfolio if I transition to Argent Wealth Advisors?
A: While we are likely to recommend changes to your portfolio in an attempt to improve its risk/return characteristics, we have the ability to work with your existing investments.
Q: How will you handle low-basis (high tax liability) investments currently held in my portfolio?
A: Argent Wealth Advisors will work with and around existing portfolio holdings and pay special attention to low-basis investments with embedded tax liabilities.

Q: Who will I work with at Argent Wealth Advisors?
A: You will be working directly with James Audley
Q: How often will I receive reports from Argent Wealth Advisors?
A: You will receive monthly custodial reports from your chosen custodian, usually TD Ameritrade Institutional or Charles Schwab.
Compensation
Q: How is your firm compensated?
A: We are a fee-based advisory firm. This means that we do not charge you commissions. You pay an advisory fee based upon the market value of your portfolio.
Q: What are your fees?
A: The fee percentage decreases as the asset level increases. The advisory fees we charge are negotiable. For more information please see Services: Fees.
Q: What is included in your fees?
A: We do not bill for additional advice or services within the standard scope of wealth management. In addition, our fees cover all trading commissions and transaction costs as well as account maintenance expenses and some costs associated with wiring money in and out of your account(s).
Q: What other fees and expenses should I expect?
A: You will pay additional management expenses to each mutual fund, exchange traded fund and third party money manager that we recommend. These management fees will be disclosed separately by each investment manager.
